Israel bombed the Hamas negotiating delegation during a meeting in Doha on Tuesday. A leading Hamas source told Al-Jazeera that Israel targeted the negotiating delegation during a meeting in the Qatari capital to discuss U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas, however, denied that its leadership had been eliminated. According to a senior source in the movement who spoke to Al-Jazeera, the Hamas leadership delegation — headed by Khalil al-Hayya — survived the Israeli assassination attempt in Doha.
Since Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has killed 64,605 people in Palestine and injured 163,319 -- the majority of whom are women and children, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reports.

Israeli Army Radio quoted security sources as saying there are doubts about the results of yesterday’s attack in Qatar, adding, “The results of the attack do not look good and we are not optimistic.”
Israel’s Broadcasting Authority also reported that Israeli authorities have not yet been able to confirm the outcome of the strike in Qatar or whether it was successful.

SWEDISH FM: Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Stenergard confirmed that the Israeli strikes on Doha are unacceptable, stressing that they violate Qatar’s territorial integrity and international law.
